The atrocities and forceful migration of Hindus continue till date from the erstwhile East Bengal, East Pakistan and now Bangladesh. Unfortunately, on the western side of Bengal also, the situation is deteriorating. The ‘secular’ vote bank politics created by the Congress, nurtured by Communists and now encashed by Trinamool Congress, has accelerated the Islamic radicalism in Bengal. On May 4, 2015, the birthday of Gautam Buddha, founder of Buddhism and the propagator of ahimsa, was being celebrated by the devotees, when a ghastly incident took place at Kaliganj under Nadia district of West Bengal. It took away the lives of five members of a Hindu family. During the incident more than 50 houses of Hindus were gutted. More than hundred people were injured including 8 police personnel. Even after deploying large number of police force, the Administration could not control the situation. The unruly mob with ‘Allah ho Akbar’ slogans swayed over the mass. The role of local MLA Nasiruddin Ahmed is being questioned in this incident. One or two local newspapers have given small coverage the secular media is silent on the issue.

On the occasion of Buddha Purnima, every year. The villagers take out processions with band party. Last year, as reported by some local people also, the culprits started objecting to sound of music and asked the processionists to stop it. They did not want to stop as this was an age old custom. Although, last year it was amicably settled and nothing much had happened, this time both sides were much adamant.
Again this year, when the villagers of Juranpur started their preparation for the said celebration, the miscreant group started threatening them. Hindus stood by their commitment and said we could not break the custom. Large number of villagers rallied behind them.
The police said people of two adjacent villages–Chotipur and Naodah—are also organising themselves to fight out the religious hooligans. Nevertheless, communal atmosphere in the area was communally charged up.
Arnab Ghosh, Superintendent of Police, Nadia District had briefed the journalists about the incident and admitted that normalcy was yet to be established. But this could not bring back the faith of people in the government as they have already proved their role as partisan. Dead bodies of two women were recovered. They are believed to be succumbed to their injuries suffered on the very first day of the rioting. Already, 1300 traumatised people have deserted their home and hearth. Because they do not have any faith in the goodwill of the administration, as they are miserably partisan towards the majority community of the country.
In the border disctricts of Bengal. some two decades back, there was a coinage of two words—SILENT INVASION. Muslims took full advantage of the secularist attitude of the Indian government and exploited almost all governments formed by different parties. Each and every government was put under good humour and from seven to eight per cent now they have reached even fifty and more per cent in certain pockets of West Bengal.
According to the latest plan, it seems the Muslims have chalked out a plan of covering the whole of North Bengal, to successfully cut the “chicken throat” from the rest of India. According to their plan the whole of Nadia district has become disturbed. In the recent times, with Kaliganj, Juranpur and Naodah, two more areas are included in these areas–Hanskhali and Mallikpur.
| Deep rooted conspiracyNadia, the bordering district of West Bengal has been the soft target of Bangladeshi infiltrators. During the last one decade, demography of the district has drastically changed. Attacks on Hindus are increasing throughout the district. Every year the villagers of Naoda under Kaliganj police station participate in the festival of “Buro Shib” (Old Lord Shiva) at Jamalpur in adjoining Bardwan district on the day of Buddha Purnima. Villagers organise colorful procession with traditional musical instruments and proceed towards Jamalpur. They have been performing it for at least last six decades. On May 4 the procession was attacked when it was passing near a Mosque in Chutipur. Chutipur is a newly developed locality occupied by the infiltrators. The communal elements attacked the Hindus procession with weapons and charged bombs. The procession was scattered. After the incident a group of elderly villagers reached Chutipur Masjid to discuss the incident. In response, a group of hooligans attacked Naoda at around 4 pm under the leadership of TMC MLA Nashiruddin Ahamed. They openly fired on the villagers, looted household goods and molested women. None of the prime accused including Nashiruddin Ahmed has been arrested. On the contrary, Hindus are regularly been threatened by the police. Police even refused to receive complaint from the victims. An FIR has been lodged through the court. The dead bodies were cremated forcefully next day at Nabadwip Ghat, about 75 Kilometer from Naoda in the absence of the family members or the relatives. In another incident, Hindus were attacked, villagers were hit with chopper, household goods were looted at Ulashi village under Hnaskhali police station. Alam Mandal, a Bangladeshi infiltrator, and locally known cow and fake note smuggler led the attack. He was backed by Trinmool Congress local leaders. The inert behaviour of police is noteworthy. Arnab Ghosh, earlier accused in Sharada Chit Fund scam, is the Superintendent of Police in Nadia. The other day, Justice Bhagwati Prasad Banerjee, retired Judge of Kolkata High Court, has passed a comment saying, “We are sitting on the top a Volcano”. This explains the way situation in the state has been declining and how (with the help of Mamata Banerjee) communal scenario in the state has abruptly changed. West Bengal has also started experiencing blasts of IED (Improvised Explosives Device), bomb blasts, serial bomb blasts etc throughout Bengal. In this connection two very recent incidents should be mentioned. One, a Pingla in Midnapore district and the other bomb blast on Krishnanagar Local (Do not forget Krishnanagar is also situated in the District of Nadia). One can easily draw a conclusion about the motive of these blasts.

About the Pingla blast Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, before getting any intelligence report or any enquiry report, declared on her own that this was a ‘cracker factory’ and not a ‘bomb factory’.State Chief Minister holds the post of Home Minister as well. If she can issue such a statement then how can one reconcile the fact that after the blast some of the 12 dead bodies were hanging on the top branches of nearby trees.
| Need to redefine the term minority’ —Rajesh Gogna, General Secretary, Human Rights Defense InternationalI am of the firm opinion that attacks on Hindus in Bangladesh or in bordering districts of West Bengal are part of the jihad which is continuing all over the world. The same mindset was responsible for Partition of India. As far as the minority rights or their freedom of religion is concerned, it is a denied dream for Hindu minorities. The change of guard made no difference in the mindset of Muslims there. The same mindset has now crossed the border in West Bengal. When the Muslims are targeted, questions are raised in the Parliament. But Hindus are attacked nobody speaks, not even in media. One important fact is that Hindus may by in majority at state or national level, but at micro level (in some districts, tehsils or villages) they are in minority. Therefore, they are required to be provided with better protection. Last year, a Dalit girl was inhumanly tortured by Muslim goons. The matter went to State Human Rights Commission. Despite clear instructions from the Human Rights Commission no action was taken against the culprits by local police authorities. Finally, they filed a writ petition in High Court. Even after the directions of the High Court no action was taken. Not only this, recently some postures were pasted on the walls instructing the Hindus to deposit their girls in Kanji house, where cattle are deposited. Similar was the situation in 1948 in Bangladesh. No media organisation is taking it up. The Hindus are suffering in silence. Therefore, need of the hour is to determine ‘minority’ at micro level. Equal facilities should be provided to all minorities and at every level. |
Further to note that Mamata has distributed Rs. 2 lakh to each of deceased family and Rs 50,000 to each of the injured persons. Alas! She could not find time to visit riot affected areas of Nadia. One should not forget that the persons died in Pingla and earlier in Khagragarh were all Muslims.
An interesting fact which has been noticed not only by the intelligence agencies but also by sensible people of the state is that as the number of madrasas is increasing in rural areas of the district the more the fanaticism is raising its head. Till some time back there were just 5 madrasas in 17 Panchayats of the district. But now this number has grown to 15. As the number is increasing the fundamentalism among Muslims too is increasing. After Kaliganj, now Hanskhali in the same district Nadia. In this border village Hindus became victim of inhuman torture last night. HS worker Debtanu Bhattacharya visited that village yesterday (10 May), and collected report despite extreme hurdle created by police of Hanskhali police station.
Sri Biman Ghosh, the elder son of Sri Bimal Ghosh runs a garment shop in Hanskhali market. About a month ago the shutter of his shop was damaged by a truck owned by Ms. Papia Mondal (Muslim), the queen bee of a local crime syndicate. She and her gang allegedly runs a flourishing trade in smuggling and trafficking of women across the Bangladesh border, under the protection of Hanskhali Police.
Trouble started when the aggrieved Biman Ghosh demanded compensation for the damage from Papia. This infuriated Papia and she vowed to teach him a lesson. On 8 May, one of Papia’s sons assaulted Biman in the market and struck him on head with an iron rod. When the bleeding Biman and his brother Soumen chased him, the ruffian ran away. The miscreant fled the village but Papia and gang, in cahoots with the police, spread the rumor that her son has been kidnapped and may be murdered by Biman and his brother. Papia also lodged a complaint in this regard to Hanskhali PS. The Police also maintained a continuous pressure on the Ghosh family to ‘surrender’ the boy. Locals are of opinion this was a well planned conspiracy hatched by the Police and Papia together.
On 9 May this tension increased when some unknown persons put fire on the paddy field owned by the Muslims. Allegedly Muslims themselves did this mischief. Then using microphone of the local mosque, Hindus have been accused of torching the paddy field. Then a mob of about 400 rampaging Muslims attacked the houses of Bimal Ghosh and his neighbors Nibaran Ghosh and Bhola Ghosh. Shouting Allahu Akbar and brandishing deadly weapons they ransacked the 3 houses, beat the family members mercilessly and molested Biman’s wife and other women. They hacked at Biman with sharp weapons and as Biman lay bleeding on his own motorbike, they totally destroyed a Tata Sumo and a new Tractor. Biman’s father in law Balaram Ghosh too severely injured. The mob also tried to steal the cattle being unsuccessful in untying them they hacked at the hapless animals instead. Biman’s wife became senseless due to the severity of the attack, ransacking and molestation.

SERIOUS COMMUNAL CLASH in NADIA DIST : 4 KILLED, MANY INJURED
Under Kaliganj police station in Juranpur & Naoda villages, serious communal clash reportedly occurred today at about 3 pm. A Hindu religious procession has been allegedly attacked in front of a mosque in Juranpur village. Heavy bombing & firing from both sides. Nearby Naoda village has been attacked.
Reportedly 4 Hindus in that village have been killed. Their names are – Maru Hajra, Rasomoy Hajra, Moyna Hajra and Shanti Hajra.
A few more (7-8) injured persons are now being treated in Katwa hospital. Villagers cannot move some other injured persons to any hospital as all the roads are reportedly blocked by Muslims.
This Naoda village is totally insecured as no police force is posted there. The villagers apprehend a second attack anytime. Our HS volunteers are in communication with the Kaliganj police in Debagram and trying their best to send force to Naoda asap.
Reportedly a number of Muslim houses have also been gutted.
Since last Bakrid, tension between two communities were prevailing in the area. Yesterday the procession of Hindus passed before the mosque on their way to the Dharmaraj Mela at Jamalpur in Purbasthali. Today when that procession was returning thru the same path, the incident happened.

Friends, you all are aware that I regularly broadcast the news of communal disturbances and Hindu persecution in West Bengal on social media. These are exactly the kind of news that the govt and the MSM try their best to suppress. I am doing this at a considerable risk to myself as the govt may try to book me under the different clauses and sub-clauses of the criminal code for instigation to communal disturbance and disrupting communal harmony.
Nevertheless I shall continue to disseminate these news items as it is my firm conviction that news of Hindu persecution needs to be highlighted before the world, whatever be the consequence. I am also convinced that I am speaking the truth and not deliberately transgressing any legal boundaries.

NADIA RIOT UPDATE :
All 3 dead bodies reportedly now at Krishnanagar Sadar Hospital. Police is trying to cremate those bodies at distant dist headquarter Krishnanagar applying force on the relatives of the deceased persons. But the relatives and villagers want to bring the dead bodies to the village Naoda and cremate there.
All the deceased persons are from SC community (Haari). They are really very weak. They feeling totally helpless before the red-eyes of police. Nobody is there to help them at Krishnanagar. Name of the deceased persons are : Maru Hajra (48), Asomoy @Akshay Hajra (18), son of Maru and Shanta Hajra (40), brother of Maru.
Other 3 seriously injured persons are on way to Kolkata from Bardhaman Hospital for treatment. Their condition extremely bad. They are : Sanatan Sarkar (48), s/o, Dhiren Sarkar, Aparna Hajra, w/o, deceased Maru Hajra and Moyna Hajra (brother of Maru).
At this moment 2 HS representatives from Kolkata are at Naoda village. Situation is extremely tense. Yesterday 8 police personnel have been injured and ultimately police failed to control the mob and save the lives of people of weaker section.
In Juranpur village, where Hindu religious procession was attacked yesterday, now Hindu male persons have fled from the village chased by police.

With police consent Hindus agreed to hold the program outside the boundary of the ground. When Hindus gathered there on 14.04.14, Muslim mob attacked the Hindus with arms, seriously injured many Hindus and one police officer (SDPO), looted and gutted many Hindu houses. Police arrested 3 Hindus and 9 Muslims. But, police was forced to free one Maulavi Badaruddin who was instigator of this attack on Hindus.

Description – Muslims attacked the Basanti Puja festival (fare), broke the Basanti deity by kicking, ransacked Puja pandal, fractured Dilip Murmu’s head, injured many persons, molested women. All victims are ST people. Notorious Anikul Islam, Sadikul Islam and Minarul Islam led the rampaging mob.

Description – Durgapuja immersion procession was attacked by armed Muslims provoked by loud speakers of local mosque. 10 Hindus injured. Among them one Army Jawan Anil Mandal’s (he came to his home on leave) injury very serious. He had to stay in ICU in Command Hospital in Kolkata.
22) Date – 16.10.2013. Place – Dholkhali. PS – Sandeshkhali. Dist – North 24 Parganas.
Description – Only 5-6 Muslim families slaughtered 5 cows for 1st time in presence of BDO and Police. Hindus protested. In retaliation Shajahan Seikh’s goons ransacked Hindu shops at Rampur Bazar and beaten up Hindus. Muslims also attacked many Hindu villages.

Description – Shop and residence of Kamal Bishai fully looted and ransacked by Muslim goons. Gold, cash and other articles worth Rs.2 lakh looted.

Description – Muslims attacked Hindu houses in Gabbunia village. Their fault – they went to Kolkata to join a program of Hindu Samhati. 23 houses damaged, materials looted worth lacs of rupees. Many injured. Tapas Naskar was shot at leg by gun and seriously injured by Ali Akbar Seikh. Many injured. Smt. Sulata Ghosh (sister of Tapas) was fully stripped and molested. Few other Hindu women were molested.

25) Date – 07.03.2013. Place – Rasa village. PS – Kankartala. Dist – Birbhum.
Description – Dispute between Hindus and Muslims over illegal mining of coal. Result – On February 7, 2013, a Hindu woman was beaten almost to death by Muslims inducing Hindus to opt for a peaceful blockade of road. This peaceful Hindu protest was avenged by savagery of neighboring Muslims of village Sahapur. Hindu houses were set to fire followed by molestations of Hindu women and beastly thrashing of Hindus in general. While more than 40 Hindu houses and shops were burnt down, other households were looted largely making Hindus there maintain a hand-to-mouth existence now.
While the devastation was going on, Hindus phoned the local police station. Police came but remained silent perking Muslim attackers up altogether.

Description – To take revenge of murder of one Imam of a Kolkata mosque by unknown assailants, 200 truck loads of Muslims from distant Kolkata and other places attacked these 4 villages. His Girl’s College named after his mother Asaleha Girl’s College totally gutted and closed. New building has been encroached by Mosque.

The reason behind this attack/anger, which no media mentioned, was that his wife Mamtaz Sanghamitra (TMC MP from Bardhaman-Durgapur), converted from Hindu, at 2013 Eid Namaz, successfully made arrangements for Muslim women to offer Namaz collectively on open ground like male Muslims.
